Meet HEAD CHEF MITCH KIM

We are incredibly proud to have Head Chef/Partner Mitch Kim at the helm of Sushi Hall.

For over 17 years, Mitch has gained a large and loyal following in Lincoln Park serving his signature rolls paired with his engaging personality and relentless commitment to providing the best dining experience for all guests.

You can find Mitch talking and laughing with diners behind the 10-seat sushi bar located in our main dining room. And for an extra special experience, you can reserve seats at our “Chef’s Counter,” where you’ll dine directly in front of Mitch as he guides you through his favorite menu items, all while providing endless laughs. Freshness makes all the difference

If it’s not the freshest fish we can find, we won’t serve it.

Head Chef Mitch Kim is very particular when it comes to selecting and serving only the freshest and highest-quality fish available.

Whereas most sushi restaurants will serve fish up to three days following delivery, Chef Kim will not serve it past two days. This is to ensure you’re always getting the freshest and most flavorful sushi. And we’re confident you will immediately notice the difference in taste as a result.

Where Design & Comfort Meet.

When we built Sushi Hall, we didn’t set out to create a traditional sushi restaurant. Instead, we focused on designing a stylish, yet approachable, neighborhood setting that centers around community. A place where no matter what the occasion, be it a date, night out with friends, or even dining solo, you’ll always feel right at home.

We were fortunate to work with Siren Betty Designs, a premier Chicago-based design firm, who made our vision a reality.
